How it works

From the board to a next step you can follow

ChessNavio recognises your live game, works out the variations on your computer and shows the result next to the board. While you are playing, positions and hints are not sent to a server.

1

It recognises your game

The extension waits until your game has actually started. No hints appear on a home page, in a preview, in a broadcast or in somebody else’s game.

2

It analyses on your computer

The position, the variations and the hint stay on your device. The result appears without sending the board to a server.

3

It explains the result

You get a move, a short idea, the evaluation and a few continuations. Extra variations are there when you want them.

4

It keeps browser history separate from your account

Finished games are stored in your browser. Sending that history to your account is off until you turn it on. A saved game can be opened, downloaded or deleted.

Review on your computer, without a chess site

A PGN or FEN needs no account and no connected chess site.
